Paola Zaccaron
I am an Italian illustrator with the goal of "deconstructing" the Futurist vision from the late 90s and early 2000s, representing it in a darker and more mature context. My main artistic skills include drawing (both traditional and digital), character design, 3D modeling, and 2D animation.
My pseudonym is pronounced /ˈvɛzpaɪər/.
What drives me to pursue this path is the desire to illustrate the optimistic vision of the future, learned in our childhood, which crumbles as we face the harsh and unsettling reality of our world, filled with responsibilities, worries, and uncertainties about the future. Driven by our instinct for emotional survival, we retreat to what made us happy in the past, even though these things are now obsolete, broken, and outdated. For this reason, in my vision, the architecture, objects, and fashion trends of the Y2K era ("Year 2000") are presented with aesthetic imperfections such as rust, cracks, and dirt, etc.
I would also be interested in exploring other themes aimed at a teen and adult audience, as long as they align with my artistic style. I love to tell my thoughts and stories in different ways, which can range from raw and violent tones to sad and melancholic ones. Therefore, I am particularly drawn to horror and thriller projects in any medium of entertainment, where the aim is to create tension and anxiety for the viewer, while also prompting reflection on today's society and ourselves.
If you are interested in working with me on a project, please do not hesitate to contact me via the email address listed in the "Contact" section of this website. I will respond to you as soon as possible :)

Finally, I am delighted to announce the official launch of my online portfolio! There are still a few things to be fixed, such as opening the contact form in the "Contact" section and adding some of the previous projects I have created in the "Portfolio" section (which will be done simultaneously with the new ones), but in any case, the website is officially open to the public ^^I have always wanted to have my own small space on the vast World Wide Web, and I am happy to finally see this dream come true after a lot of hard work and dedication (of course, without neglecting some difficulties ^^'). A special thank you goes to the person (who will be mentioned shortly in the Credits) who helped me a lot on this journey and made it all possible <3.In the meantime, I wish you a pleasant stay and I hope you appreciate not only this website but also my entire artistic vision, which I have kept hidden for a long time...With love,V E Z P Y R E
